Best in the West Resort Nestled among pines, cedars, and firs alongside Mears Creek in the Upper Sacramento River Canyon, the Best in the West Resort provides the perfect access to Mount Shasta (just 20 minutes to the north), Lake Shasta (20 minutes to the south), Castle Crags State Park (5 minutes), the Sacramento River (2 minutes), and Mears Creek (outside your back door.)
