At Mossbrae Falls, a subterranean stream coming down from the glaciers of Mount Shasta
breaks through the lush vegetation and falls 50 feet into the crystal waters of the Upper Sacramento River. Located just north of Dunsmuir, you can visit this historic waterfall, where folks have hiked and trains have stopped since the late 1800's.
Find more about Mossbrae and a map for hiking to the falls at the Dunsmuir Chamber web site.
