The Holidays are a time of festivities and family fun in the friendly communities of Siskiyou County. Come share our small town charm, holiday cheer, and the oncoming winter recreation season! County Wide Events & Attractions
These are events and activities that can be enjoyed at locations throughout the county.
Countywide daily Snow Play: Wherever there is snow, you can go out and play in it! Enjoy skiing and boarding at the Mt. Shasta Board and Ski Park, nordic skiing and snowshoe, snowmobiling, backcountry skiing and sledding, snowman building, ice fishing and wonderful scenery.

Alpine Vistas & Villages
The Alpine Vistas and Villages region includes the towns of Dunsmuir, McCloud and Mt.Shasta.
Mt. Shasta daily Siskiyou Ice Rink - Shastice Park, Mt. Shasta, open for daily skating 7 days a week, weather permitting. Northern California's largest outdoor ice skating rink, complete with skate rentals. For information call 530-926-1715.

McCloud Dec. 31 Shasta Sunset New Years Eve Dinner/Party Train - 7:30 boarding at McCloud depot, 1:00 am return. Gold Country of the Mythical State of Jefferson
The county seat of Yreka and the towns of Etna, Fort Jones, Happy Camp and the Klamath and Salmon River communities are in this region.
Fort Jones Dec. 3 Community Christmas Evening - Tree Lighting, Santa Claus Christmas Carols, most stores open late. Refreshments too! For more info call 530-468-5442
Etna Dec. 3 Etna Christmas Tree Lighting - A lovely Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Merchants will be open late and Santa Will be visiting with kids and helping eat the refreshments. For more information call 530-467-5335.
Yreka Dec. 3 Christmas Night of Lights - At downtown Miner Street, the Yreka Chamber of Commerce sponsors holiday fesivities. Holiday Business Open house celebrations, free gift wrapping, official tree lighting and Santa too! For more info call 530-842-1649.
Fort Jones Dec. 11 Hometown Christmas Celebration - Pancake Breakfast at 7am in the Fire Hall, a festive parade, all day arts and crafts fair....everything is handcrafted in 51 booths. Santa will be at the guild shop taking pictures with kids. For more information call 530-468-5442 or 530-468-5302.

Valleys and Volcanos
The gateway city of Weed leads to the volcanic expanses of eastern Siskiyou County and the towns of Montague, Dorris and Tulelake.
