Cool Mountain Nights events in Mt. Shasta Labor Day weekend

If you’re in the Mt. Shasta area over Labor Day weekend, be sure to check out the Cool Mountain Nights events – there will be open air markets downtown, a classic car show n’ shine, the Tinman sprint distance triathlon and the Blackberry Music Festival.

Friday, Sept. 3

5:30 p.m. – Mount Shasta Police Department, CEP Car Show and Shine Friday Night Cruise and BBQ, Shastice Park, Rockfellow Drive. Cruise starts at 7 p.m.

10 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Go Karts and Laser Maze at Ray’s Shopping Center.

Saturday, Sept. 4
8 a.m. – Register for the 10th annual DARE Classic Car Show and Shine. For more information call 926-7540.

9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – ’50s rock and roll entertainment; open-air marketplace on Castle Street and downtown sidewalk sales.

Car Show and Shine. Open to the public. Judging begins at noon; awards at 2:30 p.m.

10 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Go Karts and Laser Maze at Ray’s Shopping Center.

Sunday, Sept. 5
6:30 to 8 a.m. – Tinman Triathlon at Lake Siskiyou Campground Marina; 235-2786.

10 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Go Karts and Laser Maze at Ray’s Shopping Center.

Noon to 6 p.m. – Blackberry Music Festival at Mount Shasta City Park; sponsored by Mount Shasta Rotary Club and Scott Valley Bank. Games for kids, BBQ, blackberry pie, beverages available. Free admission. Live entertainment on stage.

Monday, Sept. 6
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Go Karts and Laser Maze at Ray’s Shopping Center.
