Film Festival Schedule Published!!
It’s out, it’s out, it’s out – the schedule for the 2008 Mt. Shasta International Film Festival is out in local stores and on the website at www.shastafilmfest.com. Check it out and get your tickets for the October 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Festival that features documentaries and independent features films from around the world. Festival organizer Jeffery Winters sorts through over 200 films to bring this hand-picked selection of films that fulfills his vision.
Along with three days of movies, the annual opening Gala Party will be held Thursday, October 9th at the Mt. Shasta Community Center where folks can get a chance to hear about films and chat with the film makers. Then, on Sunday, October 12th from 10am to 2pm you can join in the film making seminar with filmmaker Jerry Alden Deal for a behind the scenes look at “Dream Awake”, a film that he wrote, shot and edited in the Mt. Shasta area.

Be sure to check this out soon, as tickets sell out early. You can order tickets by calling the Film Festival office or locally at Village Books. Tickets are $10, with a discount offered for every 5 tickets purchased at one time, 5 movies for $45.00, 10 movies for $90.00, and 15 movies for $135.
