The trail is great! Sun melts new snowfall quickly on north shore, the road is plowed, and the scenery exquisite!

One of the things I like best about walking the North Shore trail at Lake Siskiyou is the smell of the trees as the sun warms them. The warm aroma of pine needles and leaves drifts up from the ground, putting me in a state of heady bliss. The sun glints off the waters of the lake, reflecting the often stunning blue skies of late winter. It’s a great place to get out of the house, to embrace the delicate warmth of winter and to look forward to the spring and summer months to come.

North Shore has been stunning – the blue skies over the lake have given the water a beautiful blue tint. The sun has been shining and the trail has dried out. The dog and I have been taking daily runs – just the respite we needed from the winter grays.
